Spit Current at High Tide?

Off Topic Comments, Help, Tips and Trick

What's the current like at the Spit these days once the water is coming over the road?

Is it still possible to rescue down to Bozo Beach if things go sideways or does the current now push you out in to the sound?

With higher river flows in spring there was definitely some current pushing over the excavation and out past the island. Now with such low river flow that self rescue is probably still possible. Although during a strongly ebbing tide it might not be. I paddled back to the road from about 50m away in the river during a light ebb and it took a while. Wind seems like it's super variable at the end of the road if the iwindsurf sensor wind isn't directly South.
