Wind steady SW 22-26. Perfect for 6m+surfboard from start to finish.

Today I'm bringing pint-sized gear just in case.

There is a strong SE flow happening out here in Boundary Bay already, so that's probably a good call! Have fun!

As expected, it cranked up to 30 knots today perfect for 6m+surfboard but gusty and challenging at times ... and some fun waves too.

Didn't quite need the pint-sized gear. The mini-growler 4.7 sail was fine :P

Alton Jr and I scored the early sesssion (11am - 2:30pm) SW 16-22 on 12m + TT and 8m + surfboard. Uncrowded and chill ... then left early to beat the long weekend "cit-i-diot" traffic.

On the narrow section of the Spit Road where rock boulders are behind orange fencing, don't drive too close to the edge of the gravel road adjacent to the river. The shoulder is very soft. In recent days, at least two vehicles have rolled over and toppled into the river bank.

If that's true, you need to inform SWS.

Next year when the spit is removed up to the yellow gate, these piles of rocks will prevent us from parking along the remaining road, and life-threatening accidents like this are yet another reason to press the town into moving those rocks (and not allowing more rocks to be deposited on spit rd).

Tow truck blocked the road for about 30 mins. Then about 20 cars were let through.
