Epic session. Lit on 6m+surfboard in steady (after 2pm) SW 25-30. Spent most of my time hitting well formed waves down at Nexen.

Boy did it crank! Took out the big foil at first and enjoyed some lengthy swell connections by Nexen. Must have just missed you Alton, but shared some reaches with Ryan and Jen. Then sized down and chased some sailboats for a bit of wake foiling, never imagined that would happen, those keelboat put out a solid swell behind them! Missed the tugboats that came in around 5 though... Hoping for a repeat today?

First Squamish day of the season for Alton JR on 8m+TT. I found it challenging to stay upwind on 6m+surfboard in SW 18-22 so switched kites with JR ... much better for both of us. Beautiful afternoon ... even with the crowds.

Did you guys see the snake on the spit? It was near the flappy kiteboard anemometer. A nice 3" diameter juicy serpent.

After an unsuccessful waterstart attempt on my kite foil ... redeemed by self respect on 8m+surfboard in steady SW 20-22 with AJ way way way upwind of the river.

The river ate another sail at low tide yesterday, not mine this time thankfully. Be extra careful when launching into the river at low tide when the current is very fast. I suggest the SWS boat or launching on the estuary side (Wingers and Windsurfers).

Today I will carry my polesmurfing gear to the sandbar and launch there (not my sail that got munched yesterday).

Today I launched from the sandbar again. Directly into solid steady 25+ knots of wind. I stayed in the nice juicy river, and so did a lot of other riders.
I was told the wind was very localized with 10 knots of nothingness outside.
