7M kite and SB for me on Monday. Although I haven't been out to Squamish much this year full credit (A+) to Squamish crew and Board. Being one of the longer "day trip commuters" had me near writing Squamish off. But not yet.

Good to see Tony and AJ (and Rocky 1 & Rocky 2).

3 hour session on 4.5m/75L -- again could have been on 3.7 but between overpowered and walking more than 500 meters just to retrieve my 3.7 m sail -- I guess overpowered was more fun.

Fun to explore to east side of the spit and that removal of the part of the spit made it workable for me to sail back on that side. And the chop there was much less.

Anyway it was great to see and sail the Spit back and now headed back to Vancouver Island -- so long my wind friends.

Crazy chop yesterday afternoon at the river mouth! But great swell down towards/at Nexen with a few other wingers in the afternoon/evening in pretty ideal 20-30knt conditions. Quite clean swell at low tide down there, perhaps cleaner with the beach extensions and less breakwater now at low tide? Even felt Gorge-ish at times

Nice day to demo the Naish "Strapless Wonder" surfboard in SW 18-22 + 12m. I actually disliked it and preferred my ghetto / imitation Tomo Vader 5.0 which handles chop way better. I guess I'm no longer used to riding "classic" surfboard shapes.

Yet another classic Squamish day of steady SW 20-25. Fun teaching AltonJR to crank gybes on the surfboard ... many thanks to Henry for pointers. After demonstrating some hero gybes on 8m+surfboard, I switched to 12m+TT to watch AltonJR start nailing them ... then I actually figured out how to gracefully gybe (toeside turn) on a TT.

Today might be the only unbroken day for a while. Maybe the last day of the season

Mighty fine day sharing gear with Alton Jr. Started with 8m+surfboard in SW 17 over silky smooth river ... then 6m+surfboard in steady SW 25 until it wasn't.
