Thursday report.

Wind was ok.

Low tide walking in the gap is a bit rough on booties & bare feet. Hiking boots. You're welcome.

Around 2 metre tide, the shuttle doesn't have enough water to operate on the estuary side.

In that case, it's possible to operate on the river, but pickup would have to be near the entrance at the yellow gate.

Some riders are shuttling gear to the island before the tide gets too low.

1st session of the year at Squamish ... 35th year-to-date. Classic Squamish - steady SW 20g24 perfect for 8m+surfboard. Nice to see familiar faces again.

Ok, who guessed the correct date for Alton's return to the spit? There's quite a pile of money in the betting pool.

Sweet 6m+surfboard session in steady SW 24g26 over glassy smooth water. Tons of fun cranking turns with other surfboard enthusiast like Henry.

Wind was ideal for everyone today.

If you prefer 5 knots of wind, it was there. If you prefer 35 knots, it was there. And anything in between, it was there too.

And inflows or outflows, or any direction in between, the wind accommodated your preference.

Looked nuts in the graph, was wondering if it was puffy at the spit but other side and Nexen were good?

Going up tomorrow hope things get back to normal! Maybe even a 4.5 sail day - hoping! :D

The wind was perfectly steady up (along with glassy flat water) until noon. I suspect temperatures got too hot killing the wind.

Temperatures starting today return to normal. Watch for confirmation of cloud clearing before heading up today then you should be treated with an epic session.
