I've seen a few using earplugs while on the water, I've found surf ears online which looks promising but thought I'd check what people are using and where you got them from?

I just got Surf Ears 3.0 as a birthday gift last week.

Haven't had a chance to test (because I've been forgetting to pack them), but will report back shortly.

I used wax plugs for many years. Can't hear anything. Horrible.

I've been using Surf Ears 3.0 for one year. I can hear everything. Sometimes I forget I'm wearing them. Recommended.

Bought them here:

What’s the reason so many guys are wearing these? I thought it was to not blow out an ear drum on loops, is there other benefits?

Cool thanks for posting. I used wax ones for years as well in the river but you can't hear much. I will try these

Right on Tony, thanks. I assume Squamish river is considered cold, not sure about Jericho. I will pick some up for the winter.

Jericho is also considered cold.

In fact, competitive swimmers in heated pools should also wear ear plugs. I personally know swimmers who have ear damage. I personally know windsurfers who had surgery for the condition.

I use my surf ears religiously! Even the hottest days when riding in board shorts. Will buy again…
