Elon Musk's Starlink is in full beta.. You can now order it. However, the latitudes for BC seem to be confined to a zone around 49.5. For those who dream of working remotely at a windsurfing destination, this could be cool!

However, my dreams were crushed when I realized Nimpkish is way too far north of 49.5. I think they have plans to go for the range of 48.4 – 51.7, eventually. So maybe one day, Nimpkish and Nitinat will work.

In the meantime.. Bear Creek? Anyone else know of any decent spots along 49.5?

All a matter of perspective I guess, but one of the things I have always loved about those places is the forced disconnection from our phones and tech tools. It always feels like a really healthy re-set to do so. Sad to loose that IMHO.

I can certainly see the appeal for mobile tech work, even if it does kinda kill the vibe. Places like Bear Cr only allow you to stay 2 weeks/year though.
