When it's absolutely too cold

Day 86 - Arrived 30 min late but enjoyed a great ski session under sunny sky. Stayed on the same run all morning - Upper Jasey Jay to Lower Jasey Jay.

Many thanks to Alex W who skied with me, gave me some valuable tips and pushed me to work on my pole plants on the small but soft bumps on Upper Jasey Jay ... then pleasuring myself with carving runs on Lower Jasey Jay.

Day 87 - Stayed on the same run all morning ...
Upper Jasey Jay (groomed) - worked on short turns with pole plants
Lower Jasey Jay - carving with earlier and faster transitions by scissoring thighs with hand drags

Day 88 - Hero groomers under cloudy sky with some foggy patches. Fun skiing (and trash talk) with Brian and LeopardSkin (on snowboard). Great skiing tips from Brian and good workout following LeopardSkin's clean lines and short turns.

Day 89 - Arrived 30 min late yet still hardly anyone there so lots of 10 cm untracked fresh - excellent at top but sticky at bottom. In fact, they closed Collins because it was too stick to ride through the flats.

My snowboarding runs: Jasey Jay, Fork, Crazy Raven, Wind Jammer, Humpty Dumpty, Horizon, Bypass and Rainbow

Low expectations. Nice results. Zero lift lines. Ok vis.

3" to 4" wet freshies. Occasional mini-pow style surfy runs. JJ, Crazy Raven, Windjammer, Panorama, Humpty Dumpty, Horizon, Fork. All decent. At 11:00, the bottom of some runs were velcro.

Not bad at all.

Day 90 - A good Friday indeed.

Came up for wax and edging on my skis and snowboarding during the torrential rain of biblical proportions.

Just after pickup the rain stopped so went skiing in soft and slushy conditions with Patrick.

Happy ending with poutine

Full on winter at Cypress this morning. Snowing hard. Nice layer of fresh snow on top of smooth grooming. Had some good turns with Skier Bob. Crazy Raven was the run of the day.

Day 91 - Fun skiing in a pack with Dmitri, Brian and LeopardSkin. Grooming was marginal but still good fun.
