Get in some runs. GTFO before freezing snow pellets strand you on the upper levels highway for 10 hours.

Yup. Freezing rain got me a little worried. Maybe a quick session would be wise to avoid a pile up down Cypress road

Day 22 - Great way to end the year with the usual suspects (Chris, Rob, Bob, Doug, Bill ...)

10 cm of fresh over the main runs except 30 cm of pow over Coyote 7 and Olympic runs. Eagle and Raven chairs were uncrowded so I guess the crowds went to Lions.

Good news!!!
Xmas day's alpine forecast has been upgraded from "heavy rain" to "moderate rain."

Day 23 - Excellent groomer conditions for laying down trenches. Drizzle at bottom. Flurries at top. Had most runs to myself until more agnostics, atheists and seculars started arriving at 10am.

Gotta take off now before my wife gets pissed.

It was a Gore-Tex morning at Cypress with rain interspersed with some snow. There was about 10 CM of wet snow on the lower parts of the hill but it was TOO sticky, even for the fat skis. Thought about going home but did a few runs on the groomers which were OK. Luckily, Rob and I stayed around until they opened the Sky Chair around 10 AM and got some excellent turns in 15-20 CM drier snow on Tomcat and Ripcord. T33 was also good but not as deep. According to the current Cypress snow report, they have received 25 CM in the last 24 hours, which I presume is measured at their snow station nearer to the top. You'd think it would be worth putting a web cam there.

Day 24 - Pleasantly surprised by 3-4 cm of fresh. Good to ride with LeopardSkin until the fresh got tracked out and lumpy.

Beautiful bluebird morning on Cypress today. Nice snow on Sky Chair and Eagle; bit rougher on Lions’ lower slopes. Glad to catch a good morning before the next rainstorm!
