Day 42 - For a change ... a good day with LeopardSkin (and Chris). Mostly groomers but occasionally good stashes of 20 cm fresh. Favorite runs were 3 Bears, Coyote 7 and Lower Fork.

Alton, last runs; Benny's & upper shoreline were so nice, didem twice.
Lower shoreline was gnarly.

Yesterday, LivePow.com was forecasting 41 CM of new snow for last night at Cypress with a freezing level around 1150 M. When I checked the Cypress snow stake this morning it showed NO new snow at the bottom. Took a chance and found about 10-15 CM higher up off piste. Was the first one down Slash, then did Moons, Trumpeter, B Hip, then later on exited on Olympic. The snow had a lot of moisture but was fun on the fat skis. Skied untill 10:30 AM.

Avalanche.ca was forecasting 60-70 CM of snow to fall by this morning on the North Shore mountains. There was about 12 CM at the bottom of Cypress and around 20 CM off piste higher up. As is often the case there was quite a bit of moisture in the snow but was great on the fat skis. Excellent turns on upper and lower Fork and Jasey Jay, then Upper Bowen, Slash, Moons, Black on Black, Meteor, First Sun then the Olympic run (twice). Left about 11:30 AM as the snowfall was changing to rain. Surprisingly, parking lot 1 was only about half full when I left.

Day 43 - Finally returned to Cypress (after my sabbatical in the waves) to enjoy some fun in the sun with Brian and LeopardSkin. Hard pack at lower elevations but higher elevations were awesome grippy corduroy perfect for endless tight runs ... so good, we did Sky chair 3 times.

Day 44 - Amazing day. -1°C with light snow over 5cm to 15cm of fresh. Almost nobody there so basically had fresh tracks everywhere. Enjoyed multiple untracked runs down Humpty Dumpty, Jasey Jay, Lower Fork, Crazy Raven and Shoreline. Finished with a happy ending out of 3 Bears.
