Whistler Blackcomb

When it's absolutely too cold

Does anyone know if Whistler Blackcomb requires reservations for anyone to ski snowboard?

Yeah, currently only passholders can reserve. But will open up for the main part of the season for reserved day ticket sales online later in Dec.

Thanks. In wonder if worth buying -- we're at risk of shut down again:

There is a refund option if there's a closing, but each day the pass is used your refund drops by the full ticket price. So you could be out the full pass price after about 6 days of riding crappy early season conditions if we are so unlucky.

The fine print seems purposefully quite complicated with a lot of jargon thrown in.

Seems the refund policy is prorated over 7 days of skiing. However, there is nothing saying that you have to go during those early season days, as long as you have patience for core season days. As a pass holder, I hope I have that right...

Exactly why I’m hesitant. The details is buried so asking those who may had gone through those details. Well if we get wind every Friday or weekend who cares about these mountains

Bought 10 day edge card anyway. Reservation is indeed required despite being a pass holder. No hassle making reservation though for Xmas week but I don’t like planning this cuz you never know if it will be windy these days.

Wind/water first. Gravity/mountain second.
