When it's absolutely too cold

Day 4 - In the same time as yesterday, I pinched out twice as many runs ... but same amount of poutine. Hero groomers right from the start. Jasey Jay and Wind Jammer were my favourites.

Looks tempting but don't have the time for a double session. I'll go for the westerly instead

Rain, thick fog and +1C as of 7:45 am looks unappealing to me. Hopefully we get some wind at Acadia to make up for it.

Had some fun turns on the fat skis this morning. About 7 CM of new snow at the bottom with more higher up and off piste. Did Upper Bowen for the first time this season.

Day 5 - Excellent soft conditions for a change ... so far my favorite day of the season. Simply enjoyed Jasey Jay over and over and over again. All the usual suspects and the usual poutine ... yummy!

Sunshine and blue skies enjoyed by Alton, Brian, Chris, Bob, Clay and Rob. Firm but good grooming in spots but a bit lumpy in other areas. It started to soften where there was direct sun exposure but by 10 AM it was becoming crowded.

Day 6 - hard pack but great grooming and blue sky with the usual suspects and poutine to go.

Best of all free private ski lessons from Brian C

Day 7 - Awesome grippy conditions at Cypress this morning. Best of all no waiting at the Eagle chair for the first 4 runs. Spent every run down Jasey Jay. Nice to see Alex W and his little boy.

Had some nice turns today with Rob and Tony. Started off with rain then snow. It was a fine test for my new goggle wipers (Seeblades) that I bought online from Whistler. I attached it to the thumb of my glove and it worked quite well clearing the drops from the goggles while I was skiing (without having to stop).

Generally good grooming but limited terrain was open - they closed Horizon and Humpty Dumpty because they had lost too much snow over the last three days.
