Day fifty-something. Just got off the hill at 12:30. Crowds not bad at all. Partly cloudy. Soft groomers. Come on up!

Sunshine and blue sky today. Excellent corduroy on upper Horizon and Fork but a bit bumpy lower down. Lions and Eagle got busy after 9:30 AM but no line-ups at Raven.

Day 36 - Hero groomers this morning with surprisingly short wait times. Pinched out 8 ski runs before poutine time.

Day 37 - Yet another morning of hero groomers for some aggressive turns on skis. Surprisingly uncrowded for March break.

Not crowded this afternoon either. Classic spring conditions from noon onwards. Sunrise and Top Gun were awesome. No ice anywhere, just perfect corn :). Bottom of Benny’s/ Shoreline is melting fast though.

No group rate discounts next season. Cypress reported good pass sales and have decided to pull the group rate deals. Sounds like it’s going to be another busy one next season.

No snow accumulation on the snow stake at 6 AM but the web cams at Grouse showed that it had been snowing at higher elevations during the night. Had lots of turns in the fresh snow for over an hour on Lions, Eagle and Raven. No waiting in line.

Three more weeks, I think. Sunday April 11.

PS. Cypress OSR. Snowing. Freshies. Foggy. Come on up!

According to the Cypress 11:30 AM report, they have had 28 CM of snow in 24 hours at mid mountain (it would be significantly less if you were adding up the totals of the web cam snow stake which is at the lodge level). The snow had quite a bit of moisture in it this morning which would have been hellish on my all mountain skis but was great on the fat skis (Salomon Rocker2 108's) which have lots of rocker and float. Many fun powder turns on Upper Bowen, Horizon, the Bypass, First Sun, Meteor and others. Most of the regulars were there.

Day 38 - Super fun morning snowboarding with LeopardSkin in 10-15 cm of heavy fresh. 2 virgin runs and the rest were 50% untracked ... and zero wait times. Great to see all the usual suspects with their family.
