Cypress Mountain 2020/ 2021

When it's absolutely too cold

Beautiful bluebird afternoon at Cypress today. All the groomers were in good shape with nice dry snow. Smallest lines we’ve seen since Christmas, and a balmy -5C.

Day 22 - Cloudy with flurries this morning so not crowded at all. Surprisingly a nice dusting of fresh everywhere great for either skiing or snowboarding. While skiing I discovered some 3 cm stashes at the bottom of Crazy Raven and sides of WindJammer.

Day 23 - Hard packed groomers this morning. Glad I sharpened my skis yesterday. Stayed on Crazy Raven with zero wait times for more turns ... since I was on a tight schedule today.

SilverXPass is now live. Best deal for your season pass. Good luck.

It was a balmy minus 12 C at 8 AM in the parking lot this morning although it was quite pleasant on the slopes with sunshine and blue skies. One of the better mornings for corduroy. Had some nice turns with Skier Bob. Lift lines got long by 10 AM so we headed to Raven.

Day 24 - 20 cm POW day! Only 1 run down Crazy Raven + 3 down Coyote 7 (my favourite). Marginally heavy but easy enough to plow through on my snowboard. All the usual suspects but many, many ... too many more. Never saw wait times so long on the Raven chair ... but it was worth it. Great way to end the weekend.

Had 2 runs on Raven then headed over to eagle chair, lines were better over there surprisingly. Then went to lions and the lines were even quicker. Managed to keep finding fresh stuff in the trees and called it a day at 12:30.

Day 25 - Great groomers for skiing this morning. Stayed on Coyote 7 for the great conditions and short wait times.

We went up this afternoon, hoping to catch a nice sunset. Snow was still really nice but it seemed like everyone on reading break went to Cypress. 20 minute lines at Eagle and Lions. Shorter at Sky but too many low clouds over the water for sunset colour. Bowen Face was in great shape though!
