Weather Talk For BC no matter what you ride

The Gorge

Kitesurfing shop talk

Stoked to be back at the Gorge….Got here on July 4th but the first wind was today. Usual gusty since it was pretty cloudy. Exponential growth of wingers — even Big Wind has more wing foil inventories than kitesurfing/windsurfing.

Next week is going to be super hot so maybe it’ll kill the wind at the Gorge but am most likely heading to Gold Beach area.

Good to see some familiar Canadian faces from Squamish/Vancouver.

Demo day today at the event site. Thanks to AirRush crew (Jack + Sam). Fun boosting with Lithium 12m even more manageable with the gust. Then tried 12m Naish Pivot.

Wind at the event site was gusty/holey so decided to go way upwind to Swell city where the wind was around 25-28 knots Westerly and the swell was obviously more fun to ride. I’ve always been windsurfing there but great to finally kite there the first time.
