Sweet 2 hr session (7:30-9:30) at 3rd Ave in SSE 16-18 on 8m+surfboard. Tons of fun sharing waist high waves rides with Mike (9m+surfboard) outside and north of Centennial. What a treat it is to score a warm wave session in August ... can't wait for the fall/winter wind and waves !!!

Glad you and Mike scored Alton! We arrived home last night after being evacuated, I saw the wind this morning but just couldn't draw myself away from the computer checking updates on the fire.

Haven’t rode my TT in forever, put the strutless cloud to the test. Not exactly what it’s meant for, but it was super fun out there today. Was honestly expecting to just play with the (kite) skim board in the shallows, but the wind gods delivered today. Great unexpected session!

Fire evacuation?
I hope all good now and rain helped to stop the fire.

I had 2h session. Started later, was fun in shallow water learning tricks. Much more pleasant than February winter cold water.

I served as Alton's side kick this morning in SUPER fun conditions that I did not want to see end. Cloudy skies (no rain at time of kiting) was a restful break from the heat. Don't get me wrong, appreciating the endless sun we've been having and is expected to return. If only it wasn't associated with the fire situation.

Glad you scored a nice session. It was so nice to feel the rain and the cool ocean breeze this morning, I was really tempted to join you! I'm done with summer and wish fall would start now, they need like a months worth of rain in the Okanagan but they didn't get much today. The fire is massive and right next to my Mom's place. Was totally dreading the winds out there the last few days. This was taken from our dock on Thursday night and last night we almost lost our place.

From last night, my Mom's place is near the bottom left corner.

Just got home this afternoon from 5 days at Nicola lake and 5 days on the Sunshine Coast where there were 0 days of wind.

Scored a 40 minute board short session in the sun and warm water at 5:00 at 3rd ave. The wind was only 15-20 knots and choppy water then started to switch so I called it a day. Good to finally get out though.
