Cloud never cleared as forecasted so wind was relatively weak. Only SW 10-12 in the morning so I sent my favorite daughter (Alton Jr) into the river on a 12m+TT for a solo session. She had just enough for some boosting, back rolls and board grabs.

Just when Alton Jr went for a lunch break the wind notched up to SW 12-14 so I took my turn on the 12m+surfboard. Unbelievable how low I can go on a 12m and still crank my gybes in siilky smooth water ... so much fun.

When it ramped up to SW 18 the river got crowded so put Alton Jr on the 8m+TT and I kept the 12m+surfboard and we moved leeward of the east sandbar for some more flat water fun.

Great way to start the week!

Yet another sweet 5m day. Started in light SW 16-18 on 8m+surfboard in the river then switched to 5m+surfboard when it ramped up to SW 20g24.

Many complaints about gusty wind at 2:30pm. Oddly enough, I couldn't feel the gusts on my 5m.

Pleasantly surprised to score yet another 5m+surfboard session in SW 20-22 ... 1 hr in the river then another hour with Rob W also on 5m+surfboard leeward of the east sandbar (upwind of Nexen).

Most exciting was Alton Jr getting her gybe with foot switch on my strapless surfboard. The key was going barefoot because her booties sole are too thick to feel the board.

When I was little and still little my grandma used to tell me to find happiness in little things in life. Today, other than nailing my duck jybe and tack, I enjoyed myself watching that cute little kite up in the air that it stands out against those big ass kite.

Sweet 5m+surfboard day. Strong SW 22-26 with nicely formed swell.

Early start for Alton Jr (8m+TT and surfboard) at 10:45am but I waited for 5m conditions at noon. Holey SW 20-25 with wicked chop made for an exciting session on 5m+surfboard.

Big turn out so it was nice to start early and leave early.

Yet another early start for Alton Jr at 10am on 8m + TT and surfboard in SW 16-20. Then it was my turn on the surfboard with 5m in SW 20-24 and nicely formed swell upwind of the river.

Nice way to end the week with an early start and early finish before dealing with the weekend traffic.

Around 2:15, the wind filled in to 25+ knots. There was no smoke, and the breeze was steady.

At 7:25, the Murrin bottleneck was around 15 minutes.

Kinda gusty today in SW 18-22 gusting 25. Confined to the river on my 5m+surfboard. Too light for 5m beyond the fallen tree and upwind of the river mouth ... then remembered I had a 8m that I could take from Alton Jr ... so much easier to head upwind and outside ... except the chop was terrible. Called it a day after 1.5 hrs when the crowds arrived.
