I always use 5/4 wetsuit even in summer. But water wasn't too cold yet.
Nexen still open for now. All windfoilers launched from there.

Funny, when I looked at the webcam I was thinking the same thing! Think I'll be avoiding the spit like the Plague this spring, wait a minute.....

Summer like conditions at the Spit with a bit less wind than I was hoping for. Should have gone with the 12m over the 9m. Wasn't landing much and spent a lot of time in the water. It was strange to see the river brown instead of white. Also lots of nasty low tide stench in parts of the river that usually don't smell.

Looked like kites were launching from Nexen from the distance, all the wingers were launching there too of course.

Yet another fine day at the Spit. Repeat of yesterday ... steady SW 20 on 9m+surfboard with smooth water upwind of upper sandbar. 80% full parking along the Spit.

Sketchy wind today. SW 16-18 with several lulls. Best wind at river mouth. Pitched out 2 hrs on 12m+surfboard.

Did anyone lose their shorts and towel and come home naked?
