Yikes! I think I'll wait for cooler temperatures

BTW - Jack told me that on Saturday SWS had 42 rescues mainly from kiters shot out from the torrential river current out to the highway. I was so bad that the jet skis ran out of gas

Outflow is still going strong. Porteau cove could be working today?!

Got 2h TOW 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM at Furry Creek today.

It was NUKING. Overpowered on 4.8 m2 + 105L. But going smaller is tricky because wind starts 200m from shore so the extra sail was nice. Nice waves, too.

I look for Pam Rocks sensor 20+ kts at 5 AM. Then it's a GO.

The Spit is looking like a dead zone -- No humans and no salmon.

Fun solo session with my lucky 8m on ~10 knots SW for 15 mins. And my wetsuit was spared -- super hot air.

Tried porteau Cove this am from 6:30-7:30 ish. Fairly long paddle to wind line and was about to paddle back when a good gust came and I got up to speed on a 5m wing. Plenty of wind where the water was more silty through to all the way across, but current going south and a wind switch to more easterly had me pointing upwind the whole session. Came in on a nice puff plus some swell for a short paddle to the campground for a mellow walk with the geese back to the parking lot. Thought the currents would be mellow or even helpful going north with a high tide around 8, but maybe there's a surface current effect from the wind there?

Now I'm also an 8m dude. Sweet 3 hr 8m+surfboard session in steady SW 20-25 mostly in the smooth river mouth.

First time flying the 8m Airush Ultra V2 ... unlike my other kites where I had to slack the lines before cranking a gybe ... I can now crank the kite under full tension without yanking me off the board. SUPER FUN !!!

I saw you on 8m so I pumped up my 5m + (TT & Surfboard)

Less is better.
