I haven't been to Harrison Lake in many years. Where is the rigging and launching area? How much parking space is available? What time do you have to get there to find a parking spot?

There is a breakwater at the southeast end of the lake, past the marina. There is a gravel parking lot with a porta potty and lots of parking. I get there at 1:30 pm usually.

In spring when I go it's often solo. Now that we're in the more fair weather more folks show up. In past weekdays are much better than weekends in terms of crowded parking (same for rented boats...)

Is it better to launch from the windward side of the breakwater?

What do you do if the parking lot is full?

Parking has never been a problem for me , you can park anywhere in the the gravel lot just don’t block the barge access , or the boat launch.

You can launch on either side of the breakwater. It's a bit of a Shlog either way but since you're on bigger boards it's not a big deal. I've most often go on the leeward side so I don't have to carry my gear (depends where you park).
