Windsurfing in Salmon Arm

Any one have any details, tips, or success windsurfing in the Salmon Arm area?

I didn't sail there, but here's the place when it's windy, it felt like I was in the central corridor of the Gorge. I'm told this is not normal, it's usually houseboat land This was during a squall at Canoe Beach just outside of town, it looked really good, but I didn't have the right gear for it with me. The town's waterfront itself is pretty much a bird sanctuary with a boat ramp, so there's not too much in terms of beaches until you get out a ways. It's definitely a beautiful spot.
