Boundary Bay today

I needed that so bad! A perfect way to end a very stressful week or watching the fire get closer and closer to our house! After missing out on Squamish and the westerlies this week todays session was well worth the wait though. Felt like I lost my sea legs at first, forgot how big the waves get with even a little wind in Boundary bay but after while it came back to me. Got a few really nice long rides flagged out but struggled sailing switch in the waves, got a few switch rides at the end though. Saw another whale too, heard it blow and looked around to see it coming straight for me! Thought it was going to take me out but it went under and came back up swimming parallel to me. They are so big when you get close to them, crazy! First time getting a session in Boundary Bay mid summer, what a spot!
