Winged out of Darrel today.
Seemed like I needed to paddle out around 1km before I hit the windline. 4 M Wing. B- Lined it to the cliffs, then back and was able to cut my paddle down to about 400m by pumping in.
Beauty launch. No one there...

Thanks for the report. Did you launch to the left of the ferry dock or North of the house? I'm not sure which would be easier and less rocky.

Launched at the old ferry dock. Not north of house. I think north of house on incoming tide is risky as it will put u down low into Nexen.
Walked down the slope and swam under the dock to south tip of Island. But u could also enter where it says private and just walk in probably... with no slope.
It is a paddle out so be prepared to swim. But I found it pleasant and no worse than paddling out to some breaks on a surfboard. At least there is no shortbreack and 20 ft waves to deal with. Take care
