New 6/5 Xcel Drylock

Windsurfing shop talk

My new suit is a fight to get into and out of. Checked all my measurements and they lie in middle of Large range.
If anyone has this suit is this normal? Concerned I am pulling the suit apart? The hardest part is over shoulders.

Definitely normal with xcel drylocks, at least for getting out of. Can take a solid few minutes of shimmying shoulder to shoulder ... or possibly have to ask someone for help. That'll get easier after 10 or so wears, stretches out a little.

But not sure about getting into ... a nice dry suit should just slide on nice. Try a lycra rashie under, see if that helps.

Ok, thanks for input.
The shoulders are the hard part but the suit fits when on and seems almost too warm.

I have the same suit.
Yeah, super tight cuz its thick. I wore it all last year surfing. And it is a game changer in the winter.
It will get better. U just need to wear it a lot.
You will develop muscle memory for the shoulder entry and this will get better. I had exactly the same issue. So persevere, it's a great suit.

I always have issues with my shoulders. Too much weight lifting as a kid. Most frustrating thing, but will get better over time.
