Hi All,

Thanks for the ad Alton :) I'm new to the forum and looking to get back into Windsurfing so I thought I'd come and introduce myself.

From Cornwall in the UK originally, I windsurfed for about 2 years but lost my transport when my Mum got a new job. So 21 years later I really want to get back into it.

So far the local community has been incredibly helpful, I'm checking out a full setup next week. I'm looking to get out at Nexen for a while first to see how much I remember and polish my Tacks and Gybes, and get my waterstarts down. Once I'm happy I can waterstart I'll get out to the spit.

I'll probably look into taking a lesson at Club Locarno once I get my feet back to see where I'm making mistakes (which I'm sure I will be).

My goals are to just get up to speed and get blasting, maybe look at a slalom race one day. And get to La Ventana in the winter for some warm water fun :) Then Nitinat once things relax and open up that way.

Excited to get on the water and meet some of the local folks!

Cheers-
Allan
