I'm new to the forum and looking to get back into Windsurfing so I thought I'd come and introduce myself.From Cornwall in the UK originally, I windsurfed for about 2 years but lost my transport when my Mum got a new job. So 21 years later I really want to get back into it.
So far the local community has been incredibly helpful, I'm checking out a full setup next week. I'm looking to get out at Nexen for a while first to see how much I remember and polish my Tacks and Gybes, and get my waterstarts down. Once I'm happy I can waterstart I'll get out to the spit.
I'll probably look into taking a lesson at Club Locarno once I get my feet back to see where I'm making mistakes (which I'm sure I will be).
My goals are to just get up to speed and get blasting, maybe look at a slalom race one day. And get to La Ventana in the winter for some warm water fun
Then Nitinat once things relax and open up that way.Excited to get on the water and meet some of the local folks!
