Overcasts with lots of south but super steady SSW 16-18. Perfect for beginner kite foiling on 8m. Still wobbly on port tack into the waves. Managed to foil back at the Spit.

10 to 15 at Sp’akw’us Feather Park (Nexen) all afternoon. 20 knots upwind at Pepahím̓ (The Spit) and the cliffs.

Moral of the story? Go upwind.

Wind was very steady too.

Got an early start in steady SW 18 with flat water - perfect for beginner kite foiling. First time I started from the Spit without my Uber Foil taxi service (Alton Jr). Got some upwind action on foil and as wind, waves and chop started building I return back to the Spit myself.

Took my surfboard for a spin and it felt very sticky - compared to kite foiling earlier.

Yet another early start kite foiling to avoid the nuking afternoon wind ... but instead got the 11:30 to 12:30 10 knot lull. Foiled out way too far only powered by apparent wind. Trapped in Nexen so took advantage to maximize time on the water practicing before landing at Nexen.

Returned to the Spit and switched to surfboard to enjoy an epic SW 25-30 session. Excellent waves down at Nexen.

Pleasantly surprised how well this cloudy day with threat of thunderstorms turned out.

As forecasted very light day. Started at SW 12-14 so worked on down loop waterstarts on surfboard with 8m while Alton Jr tried out the longer 95 cm mast on kite foil.

Then I tried 95 cm mast ... it's like starting all over again. Hopefully, conditions will be more favorable tomorrow.

SW "Furnace" made for some holey conditions. My Uber Foil Taxi didn't recommend kite foiling today. Instead worked on down loops in light air.

Crazy day. Uber Foil Taxi Service warned against learning to kite foil today so I followed her advice and went for 8m surfboard instead. Early morning was gusty but mainly holey. Got marginally steadier by mid-afternoon to enjoy SW 25-30+ conditions.

Very light demo day - SW 12-14. Alton Jr on 9m (Ozone) + surfboard. Me on 13m Ozone Edge + surfboard. Never been in such light wind ... but the $5,000 kite helped.

Getting super desperate for time on the water to learn kite foiling. Went out in SW 10-12 with walk of shames from Nexen boat riding (taxi service?) back to the Spit twice.

Very tricking trying to balance on a foil with almost no bar pressure.
