From the iwindsurf "pro" forecast for what is worth (not a lot usually):

For reasons I do not fully fathom yet, hi-res models have a bias for driving NW winds through the Georgia Strait and WNW winds through the Strait of Juan de Fuca on the backside of troughs in WSW gradient when, in reality, there is usually far less westerly flow than advertised. I will, of course, quickly adjust tomorrow morning if this turns out to be an exception to that rule, but, at the moment, I do not expect to wake up to 20 kt NW winds at Tsawassen, upper-teens WNW winds at Cline Spit, and mid-teens already hitting Jericho. I do expect some low to mid-teens WNW winds to hit Tsawassen and Jericho late morning and into the afternoon before the flow turns more SW'ly late

Tail end. Checked wind graph at 6:30 am (nothing) and again at 10:00 am (nothing), so pretty much gave up on the day. Then thought I better check again at 12:30. It had kicked in about 11:00 am. Arrived about 2 pm to reports of 8m/SB and 4.2/90-something being too light. Watching 12m and 9m out on the water I was pretty sure I could get my 5.3/115 going. Launched at West Acadia. I was just powered at first, then stop/start sailing. More rides inbound with the extra 2-3 mph push of the wind swell. Only one jump and a few powered gybes on the inside. Wind swell was modest at first on the low tide then started to roll once the flooding tide returned some depth to the bank, but then the wind was done. Exited at the main stairs. Nice warm day with warm water! It had been a while. Nice to get something!

Winged on 4M out of Locarno starting at 12:15 for 2 hours. The recently acquired front foil wing really frees things and ups the fun factor.

I,like Dave, was wondering if this was going to happen today. Just took the wing gear. Only the second time on the 4M. The gear worked really well in spite of some up and down wind. Makes me wonder if it got really windy at what point a smaller wing would be needed .

Nice to see the big turn out and familiar faces.

Got out at dundrave with 4m wing, which was just enough power for an hour or two before shutting off. Nice rolling swell within a few hundred meters of shore, a bit crossed, but nice for flowing between waves. Just chop out deeper.

Erwin Park in WV was the answer for me. Massimo and I enjoyed our first fin sailing of the season. Just enough for 5.0/97 litres between about 2-4 pm. Choppy swell beyond the freighters, flat fun on the inside. Wind was typically up-and-down for N Shore westerlies , but great to be out!
