Alton Jr arrived from Toronto so today was our first Squamish session of the season. Super steady SW 20 (5m+surfboard for Jr and 8m+surfboard for me) with plenty of sandbar for self-launching and self-landing kites.

Sp’akw’us Feather Park was a lot lighter and holey.

The new washrooms, restaurant, and bar are a nice improvement.

A bit more wind today cf. yesterday. Still some holes at Pepahím̓ Island and the point. Upwind was definitely the right place to be.

Sp’akw’us Feather Park was light.

Alton Jr and I were first on the water to score some gusty fun. SW 18-27 with few major lulls. Catching small waves toe side made my day.

Steady SW 20-25 with surprisingly smooth sea state in the early afternoon. Enjoyed the excellent wind and wave conditions down at Nexen and all the way upwind of the river.

Yesterday (Sunday) was yet another steady SW 20-25 at the Spit. Checked out Nexen early afternoon but nobody was there. Got lonely so darted back upwind. Saw Alton Jr pop her surfboard and almost landed a board grab ... maybe she'll land one before the summer ends.

Nice start with low tide and glassy flat water in the river ... then surprisingly became choppy and gusty SW 20-30+. Nice seeing familiar faces down at Nexen.

Way better than yesterday. Super steady SW 25. River was glassy smooth and first time experience the waist high waves at the river mouth at super low tide. Fun, fun, fun.

Rough start launching in the river in SW 15 ... worst part was jockey-ing for position ... but it paid off with silky smoooooooooth water for epic hero gybes. Enjoyed sharing the waist high waves playful seals.
