I hope so. I've been watching the wind forecast flicker on and off for the last few days. Wednesday dawn patrol does seem the most promising.

Can anyone PLEASE tell me why there is a discrepancy between the wind surface observation for the ferry terminal and the ikite real time wind. Saying 15-16 on the SWO vs 8 knots on ikite. Which am I to believe?

Different locations? SWOB is at the Tsawwassen ferry terminal

Please post a link for ikite so we understand what you are looking at. It might be Point Roberts (Ron Davidson's cottage)

Yup. That's Ron's cottage. Sensors are at different locations with different land effects (eg. wind shadows)

Like Alton said, different locations. Spot 1437 is the Boundary Bay sensor.

For the Ferry terminal use the SWO, from what I've noticed it is very accurate.
