Is the subscription to ikitesurf worth it? How many spots do you get real time wind for?

Yes it’s worth it for boundary bay

I guess I should say it's worth it since I'm paying for it . However, there have been times a sensor had been down for periods of time and we get by. However, considering the drive time involved, it's nice to have the Intel. Also I do a number of solo sessions (or only a few people) each year. For this it helps pick sail/kite size. For local, you get boundary Bay, Harrison and squamish. For travel there's Maui, Hood River etc.

Agreed with both John and Mike. Since I'm constantly juggling between work and time on the water, timing is everything. Mainly for Boundary Bay, iKitesurf/iWindsurf improves my hit rate, drive times and wait times in the winter ... my favorite time of the year.

Wind alerts are handy as well to tell you if the wind is picking up it sends a text telling you the wind speed every 30 minutes

Unless you're a regular patron of Boundary Bay, I personally cannot recommend getting a subscription
