Squamish season

Starting to outflow in squamish today/tomorrow. Spit deconstruction planned for another three weeks though, what are the current best launching options/What route do people take along the terminals, just walk down the tracks or direct through the grasslands? Maybe an official trail could be built here...

Honestly you're gonna get yelled at for either of those routes.

Your only real option is by boat (SUP/kayak can work too).

You'll still probably get yelled at but wingers might be able to get away with this route. Kiters are too easy to notice at the beach, remember this is an active construction site and they have serious liability issues so they wont tolerate you there.

Yeah definitely want keep windsports on the friendly side with those developers. The pathway along the blind channel is open till right before old Nexen gate. Just have to walk a half km and then punch upwind to the channel opening. Thinking I'll reorganize some of the rocks outside the Nexen fence to be able to walk up to the float plane dock.

Got my Squamish Membership... looking forward to a windsurf session soon.

Water access right now is so limited. Frustrating!

I thought the Developer was going to make some access provisions while construction ongoing? Where they could accommodate...

I think by that they meant that they would leave the trail next to the Mamquam blind channel open until the waterfront opens.

Looks like they are still moving lots of material into the shoreline to make the whole peninsula a few meters above high tide line. Were saying that it probably won't open till end of summer as they plan to do a huge amount of landscaping.
