The frame rate of the bbay web cam is still only about 3 FPS but at least the image quality is usable now!

Epic start of the season. 11:30-3:30 in 6m+surfboard in SSE 22-30. Gusty and disorganized so had to hunt for clean waves outside. Good kiter turn out at 3rd Ave ... many of whom were out of shape ... I'm feeling great now ... but probably super sore tomorrow morning :D :D :D

I don't think my summer sailing prepared me that! Got worked, over powered on the 3.5 with the 799/370 combo. Nothing seemed to feel right and I think the weeds were making things worse. The waves were really nice for a while though, and I managed to get a few nice rides between out of control crashes. Ended my session early when I hurt my ankle. Some how I slid right off the nose of the board (think it was the slime from all the weeds) and it smashed into my ankle. Which was much more painful once I got home and things warmed up. Surprised at the drop in temp, water was much colder than expected.

Had a great day!! launched from Centennial, small turnout though, maybe 5 windsurfers. Sailed 4.5/89ltr, there were some really good waves early on further out, then wind came down on the outside for a while and it got more mushy, then got much better from maybe 2.30 to 5pm and swell started to build again. Great to finally be back at Boundary Bay, looks like more good days coming up!!
