It's cranking at YVR ... but will it come in?

Was howling all day yesterday in squamish with huge Nexen swell, still breezy this morning, probably going to crank again today 
. Oh, gusts were a little crazy but surprisingly manageable on a wing, from 20-30knts yesterday

Spent most of my early morning relaunching my 8m at Tolmie (Spanish Banks) in offshore wind ... then just as the sandbars started exposing, Alton Jr and I scored a Dog Beach / Acadia session on 12m+surfboard in W 16-20 ... great way to start the weekend

My 9m was great from 10:00 -> 11:00 but slogged out after that.

Do those sandbars seems to help the wind strength up around dog beach on sunny days at low tide?

Not really. On sunny days the primary driver of the thermal is the city heating up. I find that the city thermal actually dies off just west of the East dolphin.

Some of us who windfoil downwind of the sandbar are convinced it kills the thermal downwind of it.
