Did anyone find a place to take advantage of the strong SW wind that has been blowing for much of the day here on the N Shore? No good for Jericho but maybe Ambelside or Cates Park? Pam Rocks readings look very gusty but I wonder how Porteau performed too?
Any reports would be great, for weather-learning purposes.

Amblside: 4 kites, 9m's and 10m's from 9am-12pm with one winger on a 4.5m. I went out for almost 3 hours at12:30pm on my 8m. Foils all around, wind was still good till about 5pm

Great to hear you got out at Ambelside. The waves there can be awesome. Just for clarification, do you mean 8m with foil or without (eg surfboard)? Thx.

Another fun summer session at Boundary Bay.

12M kite was the call. Actually felt like 9M would have been better for a good part of the time. But, low tide meant the water was about in line with the mile marker. So used some de-power for the upwind runs.

Re low tide: 100% worth the walk out and back.

It's a little early but GFS suggests the next one might be Saturday morning.

GFS and BWD showing a little wind into the evening, I'm waiting for the tide to come in but it looks like Chuck and another kiter are out there now.

Looking a little too marginal for my taste ...

Mike, the early bird (you) got the worm this morning. I rigged and walked out just after talking with you. Wind was good while I flew my kite a long way to tideline and just as I got on my board kites fell out of the sky. Unbelievable timing on my part. Then a thunder storm with lightening going off directly overhead. Lol
