OSR at Jericho, it's building quickly and the windlime is coming in as it clocks NW. Not qiuite wingable yet.

Update:7:54am and it stopped coming up, looks kite foilable though, but there's still a windline.

8:30 going for it on a 6.2 wing.

Wow! Extra large swell made for some Xlarge beat downs. A few fun but scary moments, I needed a smaller foil for that. It's way too cold for April!

Great day today.
Early start around 9am, second on a water. 7m kitefoil. When wind went to 30kn switched to tt for 1h and back to foil later. Great swell all over the place. Did at least 5 downwinders from first pilon down to Jericho pier. Waist to chest high rolling swell with good spacing. Better than yesterday.

I only saw 1 windsurfer rip up to Acadia with me (think it was Jens).

I remember the good 'ol days when a bunch of us windsurfers would ride the Acadia waves.

What's happened? Are all the windsurfers foiling nowadays?

I started the day on a 5.2 windfoil, then my b&j and 4.6. That didn't really work, the gusts were there but so were the holes. I think that was maybe around 11:30. I then switched to 4.6 and windfoil and that's when the wind really kicked in. I didn't really even sheet in and the board popped up. Starboard tacks towards the beach were fun but port tacks were pretty intense. At that point I should have gone back to the fin but I had strained a muscle and was cold so called it a day.

I'm not the best judge but I found it hard to pick the right setup with the wind changing to much. I think Take hit it the best, rigging two boards and two sails and starting around noon. In hindsight, I think the best window was around 1pm when my 4.6 and 84L would have worked the best.

I waited for the tide and caught the afternoon session and it was worth while. Small fun waves in the sunshine.
