Forecasts were bang on and so were my kite choices. 6m and 5m + surfboard was the call at 3rd Ave. 4 hrs in SSE 25-30 with breaking waves everywhere. Fun sharing the waves with Michael (flaged out wing foiling). Huge turn out ... and no rain :D

What a day! Went from epic to epic fail in a few seconds. Equipment failure led to a long swim/walk. Boom came detached from my Slick then while I tried to reattach it I pulled out the hose connecting the leading edge to the strut and the entire wing deflated. Then to make matters worse the wing started to take on water, making my long swim back even harder. The outgoing tide current was surprisingly strong but luckily I was able to get to shallow enough water to walk in. Before all this it was super fun with some epic rides and crashes! Thanks to Jens, Brian and Johnny for checking on me. Brian sorry I took away from some of your wave fun!
