So how was BBay? I got my share of getting skunked here at CB. I guess they’re not always aligned eh?

I decided to go to Jericho to kitefoil when I saw wind was light at BB.
Was out on 7m and foil. 3 kitefoiler, 3 wingfoilers and 5 or 6 windfoilers.
No weeds, 14-17kn. Finished at 11:30 when wind died. Now it's windy again.

Expectations for Boundary Bay wind turned out to be a bit too high. Keeping it in perspective it was a very good 9M kite SB session with nice waves. Got one head high perfectly front side. Mind you, that was a stand out and not average for the day. Up and down wind so needed the full wind range of the 9M with more on the light side of the range.

I too had my high 5m expectations crushed this morning. Marginally powered on 8m+surfboard in SSE 16-20 and pissing rain ... but the sharp breaking waves were excellent early morning with super clean glassy sections.

Big turn out. Late arrivals were treated with 12m conditions.

I was on my 12 the whole time from 11 - 1:30 ish. Still felt light at times but enjoyed the session. Coming to terms with new frontiers!

5 sessions in the last 7 days (Acadia + Ambleside last Sunday).

Maybe climate change is working in our favor. Screw the enviros and CO2 alarmists.

I decided for the Jericho option, partly because I thought if the wind isn't great I can still windfoil, and partly because of the low tide and carrying gear.

Got on the water around 9:45 and had a decent time for about 40 minutes. The wind tanked so we hung out on the beach for 30 minutes or so and it came back. We had another hour of good wind, fully powered with the 5.5 and larger front wing.
