Locarno OSR. Lots of Whitecaps. Flat like Squamish. But there's grass to rig on and the chip stand is open. Come on out!

Too much for little folk like me. JSCA says gusting 35mph. That equates to a 2.8 sail. Should be a fantastic time for more sturdy, confident sailors. Enjoy! Be safe!

It wasn't that windy. Over 25 this morning.

Maybe 15 to 20 now. Sunny. Come on out!

Somebody left a red helmet on Locarno beach (west of pier). I put it on a table in the rigging area.

Fun in the Sun ...

Early morning: 1 hr on 5m+surfboard at Acadia in W 22-24. Powered sufficiently but not enough to reach the bigger waves upwind like Mike and Jerry did on 7m+surfboard

Mid morning: 2 hrs on 6m+surfboard in W 20-24 launching from Spanish Banks sandbar and beating up to Dog Beach for some nice waves

Early afternoon: 1 hr on 8m+surfboard at Spanish Banks in W 16-18 ... inspired by Bill (9m+surfboard) and Chuck (7m+surfboard). Pleasantly surprised by how smooth the swell was at Spanish Banks ... which is most often crazy ass chop

Almost used my entire quiver (5m, 6m and 8m) ... my 12m is slow and boring anyway

Beautiful day out at Spanish Banks in the sunshine. Big wind but little (and sloppy) waves. I looked all over but couldn't find much. 10-noon on the 6.5m then swapped to the 9m from noon-2. Waves got better afternoon even though the tide was far worse.

As I'm always out chasing the best waves and riding them way downwind and beating back up and doing it again I'm often finding myself with little company out there, usually only 1-2 other kiters. But now that winging has taken over I was packed in there with about 6 other wingers (and 1-2 kiters) getting that nice swell off the edge of the off leash dog field.
