I’m going to whistler for the next 3 days, and wondering if I should bring wing or windfoil. Not sure how to forecast Alta lake and not sure what the heat dome is doing to it. Any forecast guesses from the sea to sky crowd would be appreciated, Cheers, rich

It's been pumping in Whistler the last few days...3 Wingers, 4 Foilers, 1 Kiteboarder and myself (Regular old fin board)

Best Place to launch from is Rainbow park, I go in from the little slip at the dog park, theres a bit of a sandy spit you can walk out on and get close to the wind line, then upwind to the sailing club. Although now you have to pay for parking which is annoying. (every lake parking now has pay parking.)

Sailing club weather station is here:

If you go in from lakeside or the boat launch theres a weird lull in the middle of the lake. Plus the wind does other weird things once you're out!
