9M on kite surfboard was golden. 9M was fine when I started at about 12:30 even though iwindsurf was reading only about 12g18 (south - so sensor understating). Fun waves (again) north of Centennial. Was solo there for some time. Almost wondering if things were better (how could they be?) upwind when Alton joined me then several others. Windsurf Friday, Kite Sunday - if only it could be scheduled as regular.

After a mediocre morning of snowboarding at Cypress, I was blessed with a repeat of Friday's epic wave session. Many thanks to Dmitri and Mike for warning me I should be pumping a 9m instead of a 12m - perfect timing !!!

Quickly joined Mike, Bill, Chuck, Lucas to play in the waves just north of Centennial ... but where the heck were all the windsurfers?

Sweet chest high breaking rollers for tons of bottom turns ... just like Friday !!!

Called it quits after 2.5 hrs when waves started to flatten out ... and started to lose feeling in my toes and lips.

It's not fun to walk in low tide with windsurf gear. May be that's why there were no windsurfers today. I prefer kiting on low tide as well.
Started early at around 11:30 and finished around 2:30pm.
Most of the day it was flat specially when I started and wind was around 16kn. It slowly was going up and at some point, waves got better and bigger. Had couple runs on surfboard, I like riding the waves, but then in couple min I will be too much downwind and it's so tiring to go up again.
Tomorrow should be good sunny 20kn Jericho day.

Michael and I launched from the Boat Launch, maybe around 2:30? Johnny joined us a little bit later. 5.0/84L for me. Had fun with a couple of really nice wave rides but I'm still learning to deal with larger waves and definitely making some progress.

Dimitry, which windsport do you think you'll do tomorrow?

Mixed rain and snow all day at our place. Must have been cold on the water?!

I guess that's why you didn't see us out there. Started at 2:30 with Doug, we were waiting for the waves! :D That was SICK, another coastal like day. Not as good as Friday but damn close! Waves were small at first but after about an hour they were awesome. Saw Chuck slashing some beauties out there and saw Johnny riding some bombs! Things were really choppy on the outside though, which was kind of weird, but that bank out in front of third was crazy fun. Got some nice bottom turn practice in for the coast! More please!!!! Just a side note, at the end when I was walking back to the boat launch, I looked up at the waves breaking out in front of Maple beach in Point Roberts and they looked unreal! Tide was 1.6m around then.
