At Centennial. Definitely not seem windy at beach but looks like wind out there. Probably try 5.3?

About 25 windsurfers at Centennial. 30 knots. Some swell too. Drizzly. Warmer than usual. Come on out!

I thought 3.7 m^2 + 74 L board was too big but then it became manageable when I removed my gloves at all. TOW 3 hours. Best session of the year

Nice to see so many kiters and windsurfers today. Started on 9m kite, then switched to 5m and surfboard. First time using 5m and surfboard. Had so many wave rides, easier staying upwind comparing to windsurfing.

Good fun on my flattened and fully downhauled 4.0 today. Tried 3.2 for a while but it backed off a bit so I went back to 4.0/80 litres. Looks like I would have needed 3.2 again if I’d stayed for the late afternoon session, but I left by 1:30 with a big smile on my face. Definitely a nice launch to the New Year!
Great turnout of windsurfers for a winter day. Probably because it was too warm for fresh snow on the mountains...

Well, I only sailed for about an hour or so on 4.2/80 but that was good enough for me. Started around 11. It was nice for the first 20 to 30' then it quickly ramped up. Enjoyed some nice waves. Then it became unmanageable on 4.2 way overpowered. Did not want to rig down to 3.7 as I felt cold once back on the beach with all the rain even though the air temperature was not that cold 8 or 9. You would say that was toasty for some I guess at this time of year :D . Nice to see so many windsurfers including Noel, Carl and of course the usual people Dave, Michael, Brian, Johnny, Tony, Mike, Jens and many more including an asian lady way to go :D.
That's a good way to start 2021!!!
