I heard it’s going to be the biggest tide of the year tomorrow morning too. Watch out for the debris floating around.

4.6m at 7 is high, lots of debris will be floating around for sure. It drops to 4.2 around 9 so that should help with the big stuff floating near shore though. Hope the wind last.

After a coin flip I instead committed to poutine / Cypress. Hope I made the right choice.

Fun day! Way over powered on the 5.3, by the end it was more like 4.3 but I was too tired to rig down so called it a day. Waves were big but disorganized and lots of chop in between. New sail was tough to get used too, more power for sure and I noticed more control when jumping but at first on the 102l I felt out of control. I think a lot of that had to do with the crazy chop. Things felt better on the small board and I managed to find a few nice waves for some fun bottom turns. However even though the wind was south the waves didn't line up for that classic wave riding action that Centennial can deliver.

Had a great time on 5.0 this morning with the Centennial Early Birds Club; on the water by 830 AFTER Johnny, Michael and a couple other windsurfers. We beat the kiters again.
As Michael said, it was a bit choppy but there was plenty of wind and some nice waves to be found. I think I especially enjoyed it because today’s session fulfilled my goal of sailing during every month of 2020, despite CoVid travel shutdowns etc. Haven’t been able to sail as often as usual but it felt kinda cool to get out every month this year, and all in BC.
We had several solid hours of sailing this morning, until we were all too tired to re-rig to smaller sails :)

Should have joined you guys since Cypress was cursed with heavy snow and poor visibility.

I guess the debris and king tide wasn't as bad as I feared
