Maui Day 4

Windsurfing shop talk

Today wasn't Whales and Rainbows just lots of wind and hard work. The waves were hard to find, as they were small and there was lots of wind swell, but when you did get on they were fun. Lots of top turns today and I smacked my first lip! :D :D :D I even got some air off one. Had to get a new go pro mount and couldn't find another clew-view so I got one the mounts on the mast. Not the best shots but better than nothing.

Right on, Michael! How did smacking the lip feel :D ?? Joe and I are going on a quest for our first DTL aerials this summer (San Carlos or OR Coast) 8-)

How much longer are you there for? Make the most of it. I'm gearing up for a dusk patrol session at Locarno... that's how dire things are here

Felt amazing! It's a rush having all that white water charging behind you when you land.

One more week and lots of wind, just wanted some more waves but I found that even the wind swell breaking at Kanaha can be over head high when it's at the 2m height on windguru. Had a great day SUP surfing at 1000 peaks yesterday. Found a nice break with really steep faces and about waist to shoulder high waves. Crazy blasting over the reef!

Smacked the lip: Nice! 8-)
Mast mount: Great to see the shots, but also prefer the clew view too - hey that rhymes :D ;)

Yeah those are pretty sweet shots, I love the mast mount. What Starboard are you using, is it the Kode wave twinzer? I rented that board at Maui last time and regret not comparing the difference between 1 and 2 fins on the same board.

I was on the 87 Quad, Started on a 94 Kode wave with the single but it was too much to handle so ran back to the shop and got the Quad.
