I have never seen WR resemble conditions remotely close to those pictures 30-40 knots, ESE, SE, SW, W, NW...........you name it.
The best days I can ever recall at WR had overhead swell on the outside and mushy waist to chest high weak waves on the inside. Those pictures look like Coastal type waves. JWSP on a big westerly is the first thing that comes to mind.
I think Lilly point and PR on a big SE day might come close. Unfortunately, the wind always has some onshore component to it and the wave size dies pretty quickly when the wind tanks.
