What a day. Left the house at 530. Ferry at 620. Drove up island. Took a while but finally found it. Nimkish Lake ! Amazing.
Warm water ( warmer than i expected ). 3 mil suit wouldve been good. Steady wind when i first arrived at 230 i figured 12m was the ticket. Hiked up to the truck got the 12. Pumed it up. Found an anchor point on shore rigged up my rope and carribeener, ran my lines then all of a sudden the wind kicked up a notch. Deflated the 12 , back to the truck and grabbed the 9 meter. Was trying to play it super safe as i felt very isolated. Finally got out and had an amazing session. Wind swell was really nice and clean. Biggest waves were close to shoulder high ! Not sure how often the wind blows here but definitely worth the trip. Camping spot looked rad at the kite beach. I was at the most northerly launch.
