I used the smallest sail I had at the Wall in the Gorge. Wind was wicked; no problem more outhaul to flatten the sail.
What happens when the sail is too flat, the draft will move. Depending on the wind/gust, the pull of the sail could be towards the luff or near the clew. Uncontrollable sail, lesson learned.
Yes, this is what I've noticed with my old 3.3. The ability for the small area to be tuned was kind of nil. The jump from 4.2 to 3.3 was big. I've seen JonathanP make his sail work really well though. Maybe I should just try and get a mast more suited to my 3.3 and go with that.
