3rd Nexen session. Early start at noon on 9m+surfboard in steady SW 20-25 for the first hour. Oddly lighter at the Spit so I returned to Nexen for fun with the swell. The next 1.5 hrs become more gusty and crowded with kiters, windsurfers and wind foilers ... what a zoo at Nexen !!!

Enjoyed a sunset session at the spit between 5and 6. Launched from nexen knowing I’ll be swimming when I come back. Fair enough went for swim from terminal to the beach. So I guess that’s double session and 2 chimichangas

As forecasted Nexen delivered steady SW 22-26 perfect for over 2.5 hrs on my 9m+surfboard. Smooth swell everywhere from Nexen to the Spit - fun for tons of toeside rides. Huge turn out - as if the Spit road was open.

Got skunked yesterday. Super high tide was interesting, water was flowing like a river over the Nexen launch point. Used the high water to push away all those pesky logs crowding out the launch. Couldn't get the biggest one out, but a lot cleaner access now!

Nexen OSR. Only one kiter : me. Come on out. It’s getting pretty lonely with these clouds and wind to myself

I’d say between 15 to 20 knots by launching area

The Terminal delivered with averaging 20 knots today. Found the wind pretty steady despite it not the typical thermal wind. Some rain and lots of clouds but no smoke. Went to spit but didn’t trust the thick clouds so went right back to Nexen area and just as steady. Later joined by few kiters.

Is the spit road open yet AJ?
Looks like the wind could be pretty great shortly.

Took a chance and arrived early to Nexen and scored the 2 best hours of the day. Steady SW 16-20 on 12m+surfboard. Only 4 of us (AJ, Bill, Dimitry and I) enjoyed the Spit all to ourselves. Smooth water everywhere from Nexen to the river. Darted back to Nexen and landed my kite just before the first lull arrived. Lots of late arrivals only got sloppy seconds.

Full house at the Spit today. At 12:30 AJ (8m dude) was first on the water then I followed with 12m+surfboard. Classic SW 18-20 with smooth water. As tide rose so did the wind to SW 20-25 perfect for my 9m. Tons of toe side swell rides. Called it quits after 3 hrs TOW.
