4hour double session with 3.7m/74 L and 8m + surfboard

The rest of the week will be crap again. Well maybe except tomorrow

3hrs at Nexen. Rolling into Squamish I figured that 5kn less wind would be good for me but by the looks of things, the wind was filled in everywhere. 3hrs of cranking and overpowered on a 4.0, 85L was a good size.

Epic Day!!! Early start.

Went down to Nexen (9m+surfboard) to check on JoeBlo (7m+TT) in gusty conditions. Joe got a jetski ride (civilian). I got caught in 30 knots way overpowered on 9m so I self-rescued down at Nexen beach.

Thanks to Francis for windsurfing up to the Spit and fetching SWS retrieval for me.

After returning to the Spit scored another 2 hrs on 7m+surfboard in SW 27-33. Called it quits when it became too much.

Super cool Nexen day. 2.5 hours full on with 4.2/80l combo. Lots of familiar faces Jerry, Browner, Francis and many locals .
When I saw the graph at 11:30 am I almost fainted as I telework. Told my boss I'm not feeling too well. NIce boss replied "No problem.Feel better" You betcha got my covid-19 fix in nuking Squamish. Marine layer set up was just perfect I guess for weather forecast experts. Water sports are truly well and alive.

I know that many of you will think I was crazy to do this, but I decided to stop and sail at Porteau Cove today rather than go to Nexen. It was slalom/ foiling heaven there today. Sure you need big gear, but the wind is SOOO Steady, the water so smooth, and the scenery drop-dead gorgeous!
It really only works on nukin days at Squamish so it’s a tough call, but it’s an amazing place if you catch it on a day like today. That’s why it’s one of Rob Mulder’s favourite spots to sail (and now foil). I had to use a 6.5/110 litre setup, but I love experiencing the place at least once a year.

Crappy day SW 14-18 on 12m+surfboard. After lowering my kite on a sandbar to give him tons of room, a newbie kiter dived his kite to the ground waterstarting and cut both of our kite lines. He failed to take the blame - I'm pissed!

Wowsers. Day #2 at the spit. It was the most epic day of the weekend!

Lame day at Nexen. Clouds rolled in before the thermal could build. Stuck at SW 12-16 all afternoon so the only fun was had by windfoilers who slogged out to the wind line. Cloudy and cool, so I chose to stay on shore. Much nicer weather on the N Shore when I got home, which explains why the wind was feeble.
