Most watched movie right now on Netflix. I guess we need to know from Hollywood how to handle this Wuhan virus. Or tips from Matt Damon.

FEAR is by far the best motivator:

On the bright side, stocks are cheap and get those savings and health ready when things start to turn around.

And the Corona Virus view per day will dwindle and back to Sup/Surfing.

Global news: https://globalnews.ca/news/6652654/soci ... ronavirus/

So what does social distancing mean?

The U.S. Centres for Disease Control (CDC) defines it as “remaining out of congregate settings, avoiding mass gatherings, and maintaining distance (approximately 6 feet or 2 meters) from others when possible.”

So IMO, windsurfing and kitesurfing are ok since I'm mostly 99% of the time more than 6 feet away from anybody. I feel more claustrophobic when walking in sidewalks and in grocery stores.

Windsurfing and kitesurfing are solo sports. If we can keep it like that and avoid the need to gather in groups -- which maybe difficult for people who have a need to talk excessively to keep their sanity. So under any circumstances I avoid people who talk too much anyway. Now that's social distancing.

On a bright side pollution is down as a result of Coronavirus

https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/23/health/us-pollution-satellite-coronavirus-scn-trnd/index.html.

As a human I know I’m not enjoying Coronavirus but if anybody is — it’s Mother Earth.

I wonder why it’s attacking human respiratory. So Mother Earth can tell us what it’s like to breath with heavy pollution. Some serious karma.

Thank you to the wind gods, for giving us a CoVid reprieve today at Locarno. Such a treat to get a sailable local NW’rly. Lots of windsurfers and kiters out, and no hassles or dirty looks from passers-by.
I had a nice midday 5.7/110litre session and could have rigged down at 130 if I wanted to sail longer.
A few shots of the scene, but I only had my phone...

Yes. I think people have been hesitant to post OSRs while so many activities were being discouraged. My opinion is that the message now is more like: get out and do things locally, just behave safely and maintain social distancing. That is quite practical for wind sports as long as we sail conservatively and well within our skill level/ comfort for the conditions.
Stay safe AND have some active fun everyone (and of course feel free to abstain if you feel these activities are still inappropriate).
