I checked it out Saturday around 1pm and the wind shadow was pretty far out with the wind coming from a more NE direction.
Kept driving down father and launched from porteau cove where there were occasional strong gusts right up to the boat ramp and a much shorter walk. Foil windsurfed from about 2-3pm powered about 70% of the time on a 4m. (Pam rocks read about 25mph over that time) Current was ebbing a bit strong so had to point upwind most of the time to maintain ground. Wouldn't have been good to be on a sinker! Was pretty Gusty and overpowered towards the center of the sound at the start of the session but big lulls towards the end. Wasn't as much swell as I'd expect with the strong morning wind but maybe it's larger on a flooding tide?
